Freedom…
When you see birds
When you hear chirps
What is freedom without birds
What is a bird without freedom–
Freedom…
When you see colors
When you hear laughter
Freedom doesn’t make something
That something makes freedom–
Freedom…
Smells like lavender and freshly cut grass
Feels warm but still enough chill for a jacket
Looks like a sunrise with just the right amount of glare–
Freedom…
Seems like it starts at adulthood
Yet It starts in adolescence
One moment your making paper birds
In a flash you’re watching real birds soar up above
Though one bird stands out—
It’s red
Freedom…
