Born in Flint MI, Scraps first attended Mott Community College, where he studied basic art. At that point he realized that art would be his profession. He was later accepted to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he studied Animation and Illustration. He quickly realized that animation involved too much digital art and not enough of the classic pencil and paper, which fueled his passion. After his professional training, he started experimenting with different mediums, including Airbrushing. His first opportunity to airbrush professionally was at T-Rods in Flint MI, he then went on to partnered with Psycho Customs in Bay City MI. With years of professional training and experimenting with different mediums, he has provided the highest level of art that can be seen throughout Flint & Genesee County. Aside from his public murals, his work can be found displayed on the interior walls of the LEER Corp., Flint Hard Cider Co. in Flint, MI.

Flint Southwestern Academy (FSASouthwestern Academy, or Flint Southwestern) is located in Flint, Michigan, United States. This school is a part of the Flint Community Schools.

In 1989 Flint Academy closed and the school merged with Southwestern to become Flint Southwestern Academy. During the first year of the merger, the graduating class could choose what school was listed on their diploma: “Flint Academy”, “Southwestern”, or “Flint Southwestern Academy”. The 2009 closing of Flint Central High School sent many former Flint Central High School students to Southwestern and led to the reopening of McKinley Middle School, which relieved potential overcrowding at Southwestern. Flint Southwestern Academy now serves grades 9–12.
