Cool City Art Auction is an annual fundraiser for non-profit art organizations in downtown Flint. Due to the Center For Disease Control recommendation to cancel or postpone events that exceed 50 or more people, the five art organizations involved in the Cool City Art Auction have decided to cancel this year’s auction on March 27th. A modified version of the auction will allow area residents to bid-on and purchase Cool City Art. Auction venues will be Buckham Gallery and the Greater Flint Arts Council. Art At The Market and Flint Public Art Project will have their auction offerings at GFAC. Cool City Art is hung and labeled with bid/buy-it-now cards. NO COOL CITY TICKETS ARE REQUIRED THIS YEAR TO BID ON THE ART, so the opportunity to bid is open to everyone. Bidding officially begins on Wednesday, March 18, at 9AM and ends on March 27 at 6PM. Highest bidders will be notified. Art that is purchased at the Buy-It-Now price may be taken home when purchased.
