The trees are my friends,
they whisper secrets in my ear.
The wind is my playmate,
We dance and laugh together.
The sun is my teacher,
It warms my face and soul.
The earth is my home,
it cradles me in its arms.
Nature is my everything,
The sound of the birds singing
The sound of the leaves rustling
All these sounds are so calming
They make me feel at ease
It’s where I feel most alive.
The world is a beautiful place,
Especially when seen through the eyes of a child.
Colors are brighter, sounds are louder,
And the possibilities are endless.
Nature is a canvas for them to explore,
And each day brings new adventures.

Ms.Yellow (Nuria Ortiz) is a self-taught Mexican-American muralist, artist, craftswoman and teaching artist. She has dedicated her time to the creative development and empowerment of communities, working closely with schools, cities, community centers & more to develop workshops, murals & mentorship to the youth. Her artwork and murals have been displayed in museums, galleries, and streets throughout the United States and around the world such as Egypt, Haiti, Japan, Spain, France, Australia and Mexico, centering on themes such as culture, folklore, sisterhood, education, unity, love and social justice. |
